Omar Ahmed is special.His hands are close to his body from a congenital deformity called phocomelia.

Ahmed pursues his love of swimming in spite of his rare deformity.

At age 7 he started swimming with a coach who specializes in working with disabled children.

Considering the circumstances Omar found himself. He is doing very well.

To reach his lofty goals, he trains three times a week with his mother cheering poolside.
